Here is a wine produced by one of the oldest grapes in existence- Limnio. Vineyard practices are Organic, on the island of Lemnos in the Northern Aegean sea. Soil here, are volcanic with some limestone, while yields are very low (3.5 lbs/vine). The wine is aged for six months in Greek Oak barrels (150lt). Medium ruby in color, the wine opens up with dried herbs, and red fruits. The volcanic soil contributes mineral notes, while the vibrant palate showcases the pronounced acidity. It is well balanced, though with fruity overtones. A beautifully textured wine that can be enjoyed year round, with meat stews, pasta bolognese, soft yellow cheeses, as well as white or red meat on the grill.
